The companies&rsquo; responses are expected by July 12. Temu and Shein have affirmed their commitment to fully cooperate with the Commission.<\/p>\n<p>While these requests do not yet constitute a formal accusation, they represent a preliminary step that could lead to an investigation and financial penalties in case of non-compliance. Brussels has added Temu and Shein to the list of 24 major digital platforms subject to enhanced scrutiny under the DSA, alongside Amazon, AliExpress, Google Shopping, Facebook, X, and Instagram.<\/p>\n<p>Shein, founded in 2012, is often criticized for its social and environmental practices. Temu, launched in 2015 as the international version of Pinduoduo, offers a wide range of low-cost products.
