Supporting the entrepreneurial actors of micro-commerce in the service of the common good: professional insertion, help in creating a business and social link.
In 2020, the Altavia group wanted to go further in its sponsorship policy by committing itself to a meaningful philanthropic project. This is how Altavia Foundation was born, whose mission is to support micro-commerce entrepreneurs in the service of the common good: professional integration, help in creating businesses and social ties. Our priority is to help people who are far from employment.
By micro-commerce, we mean any independent micro activity of trade, craft and service provision.

Why micro-commerce ?
At Altavia Foundation, we believe that micro-commerce is useful for the whole society.
A vector for professional reintegration
Micro-commerce represents a tremendous opportunity to make a new professional start. Altavia Foundation wants to inspire and encourage people to choose the path of entrepreneurship.
A link builder
Today, we face global phenomena that threaten to weaken and fracture our social bonds : digitalisation, growing unemployment, etc. In this context, micro-business can be a powerful way of recreating social bonds and reconnecting individuals with each other.
A dynamism catalyst for the territories
Rural communes have less and less local shops. We wants to support new activities in those territories, useful to all citizens : multi-service counters, itinerant bakery, Gardening assistance service, etc.

What are the Altavia Foundation’s projects ?
Our plateform microco.com
“Inspire, guide and inform the micro-commerce players of today and tomorrow.”
Our platform, microco.com, aims to facilitate access to micro-commerce, by providing access to numerous resources, tutorials, feedback, webinars and more… This tool gathers inspiring micro-commerce models, ready to be duplicated, whether it is a mobile grocery store, home-based computer services or foodtrucks. A real guide to action for today’s and tomorrow’s micro-entrepreneurs!
Pro bono projects
Altavia Foundation mobilizes its employees with pro bono projects. Whether it is to help associations specialized in professional integration, or to support small business owners, we are happy to use our skills to help others! This can be (among other things) coaching in strategy, communications, visual identity, social network management, etc.
Small is Big : The small business festival
Small is Big is an annual event organized by Altavia Foundation, which highlights the small business world. This festival is planned on June 27, on the occasion of the International Day of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. Several activities make this day lively and festive : conferences, round tables, workshops, merchant stands and an award ceremony.
