Supporting micro-commerce and its entrepreneurs.
Altavia Foundation is the endowment fund of the Altavia group. Established in 2020, its mission is to support and guide freelancers, artisans, and creators with micro-commerce projects. Over the years, the Fund has developed its own entrepreneurial support programs as well as moments for sharing and networking. The „Small is Big“ events and boutique are deeply committed to promoting local shopping and craftsmanship on a broader scale.
Altavia Foundation’s projects
The Small is Big Festival
The festival is an annual event celebrating micro-commerce. On the agenda: a creators‘ market, speed coaching, an awards ceremony, and a networking evening. The festival brings together Altavia group employees, curious visitors, and organizations dedicated to supporting entrepreneurship. It is always a highlight for both the Foundation and the Altavia group.
The Small is Big Boutique
Designed as a true project accelerator, this boutique allows artisans and creators to test their product offerings for 3 months. Located in the heart of the Saint-Ouen Flea Market, this 200 sqm shared space is also a vibrant hub where creativity, mutual support, and experimentation meet. A dedicated workshop room also allows each entrepreneur to host their own classes and workshops.
The Microco.com Platform
The platform was specially designed to inspire, guide, and inform the entrepreneurs of today and tomorrow. This free digital toolkit provides project creators with everything they need to launch and grow their business. It brings together reliable and high-quality resources: articles, masterclasses, practical guides, entrepreneur portraits, and more.
The Small is Big Awards
At each edition, Altavia Foundation rewards 4 entrepreneurs from the Île-de-France region following a call for applications. Each winner receives a financial grant of €5,000 as well as six months of personalized support. The awards are divided into four categories: the Most Innovative Micro-Commerce Award, the Societal Impact Micro-Commerce Award, the Environmental Impact Micro-Commerce Award, and finally, the Jury’s Choice Award.
