Nutella, Ferrero’s flagship spread, enjoys iconic status globally, yet had limited dedicated retail expression in travel retail environments. The ambition was to create a space that could both serve as a food service destination and reinforce brand equity through design. Dubai International Airport, among the busiest worldwide, offered a prime location for high-impact visibility and engagement with an international audience. Ferrero’s local partner, HWH, required a concept that would translate the emotional resonance of the product into a physical and operational format suited for the airport environment.
We set out to design and deliver the very first Nutella Café in an airport setting, creating a branded space that offered both retail and food service in seamless, brand-faithful harmony.
The store was conceived as a multisensory tribute to Nutella, with design choices that reflect the familiar jar aesthetic and offer personalized customer experiences.
The café now serves as a flagship benchmark for future Nutella retail formats in travel environments.
